Dr. Hallström has a broad spectrum of psychiatric experience, primarily providing general adult psychiatric services. He has over 50 years of psychiatric experience.

Dr. Hallström specialises in mood disorders, especially anxiety and the pharmacological treatment of anxiety. He has an interest in the interaction between physical and mental illness and unusual psychological reactions to physical illnesses. He has experience in the psychiatric medical and social aspects of drug and alcohol misuse. He has many years of experience in assessing adults as part of Family Proceedings.

He now concentrates on medico-legal work, as an Expert Witness, specialising in psychiatric assessment of parents, especially where substance misuse is involved. He carries out occupational health assessments, employment tribunal work and personal injury claims.
