Dr. Hallström's Services

I have a broad spectrum of psychiatric experience, primarily providing general adult psychiatric services.

I do one-off assessments, offering advice and opinions. I tend not to provide on-going therapy, and if it is long-term psychological therapy that is required, then I often refer on to suitable therapists.

I do not take on in-patient work, and again, should patients require in-patient treatment, then I would make a referral to an appropriate treating psychiatrist.

I specialise in mood disorders, especially anxiety and the pharmacological treatment of anxiety.

More recently I have been involved with medico-legal work, specialising in psychiatric assessment of parents, especially where substance misuse is involved.

In addition I carry out occupational health work and personal injury claims, and do not usually take on criminal cases.

I also do clinical trials and any other work appropriate to my skills, which I may be called upon to do.
