Dr. Hallström's Fees
£250 per hour for a psychiatric consultation. Simple advice, for example a 10 minute phone consultation would be free.
Basic psychiatric services are not subject to VAT, but medico-legal work is subject to 17.5% VAT.
Civil Court Work
Usually a maximum of 8 hours work.
£220 per hour + VAT. The total fee is dependent upon the amount of work involved, but usually 3-4 hours reading paper work, 2 hours interviewing the client and 2-3 hours in preparation of the report. Usually 8 hours work with a maximum fee of £1760 + 17% VAT
Travelling time
£100 per hour plus first class rail fare or public transport rates and local taxi fares.
Conference with Counsel
£220 per hour attendance and preparation time. Minor queries/correspondence no charge.
Fees for attending court
£1600 per day to include preparation time and travelling time. £850 per half day plus preparation time.
Cancellation charges
Cancellation within 24 hrs 100% of fee, within 3 days 50% of fee, within 7 days 25% of fee.
